Celibacy Is Wierd
Suppose a man waits for sex until it’s under the covenants of marriage. Yet, women think he is weird for dating without having sexual encounters. Worse, women won’t date or marry a man who isn’t experienced. Now he is frustrated because women don’t appreciate celibacy and fidelity.
Sexual gratification is the driving force behind dating and relationships. God created men and women this way for a reason, to have sex. This is why people think doing what is natural and feels right cannot be wrong. Therefore, pursuing sexual encounters is justified and waiting is silly.
Society doesn’t recognize waiting for sex as admirable. Sexperts tell us we should satisfy our instincts because nothing is wrong with exploring our sexuality. Since the desire for sex is natural, waiting for sex is pointless.
A celibate person should not be embarrassed about waiting for sex, even when society considers promiscuity normal, even expected, and celibacy abnormal. With sexual diseases so rampant, sexual purity should be a desirable quality and very special. Although rare, it should be a turn-on as well.
Movies, music, books, and the Internet are all stimuli designed to drive home the concept that sex is the expected outcome when meeting someone with sex appeal. Rarely is there heartwarming stories of relationships waiting for sex until consummating marriage.
Consider your own fidelity and the value it has in protecting peace of mind and happiness. I encourage you to leave me a comment, either positive to to tell me I’m full of it. Just remember that we can always agree to disagree! Okay?
