Who Do We Kiss?We kiss our children to let them know we love them and because we love them we kiss them…it’s a desire inside us that must be expressed in a kiss. We kiss puppies and kittens because they are cute, innocent, and precious to us. In essence, we love them. A kiss is reserved for those who are special to us. They touch a soft place in our hearts and we express that through a kiss. Ways That We Kiss!We use a little peck on the check as a gesture to greet someone and according to customs. We use a gentle kiss when we give comfort to someone, when we show them that we care about them, and when we show that we are with them in trials. We use a passionate kiss to excite and motivate a sexual encounter. The passionate kiss is always followed by other advancement to accommodate the other partner and promote acceptance of sex. If one is not ready for a sexual encounter, then we must not participate in passionate kisses. *Otherwise, the kiss can be misunderstood and can lead to date rape. *A passionate kiss must be stopped immediately the first time it is used. *Parameters must be set in the beginning of the relationship so both parties understand the boundaries. Kissing Traditions*Under the mistle toe at Christmas *New Years Eve to usher in the New Year *Middle East greeting *Upper Class mode of greeting and showing respect *Children give a good night kiss to family members before bed *Children give a kiss to greet family members they don’t often see. *Other occasions I am unaware of where people use kisses in their traditions. |
